Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Toolifye (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit toolifye.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below. We try to keep this document short and in plain language. If anything is unclear, please contact us and we will explain.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form or post a comment, you provide your name, email address, and message content. We use that information only to respond to you or moderate the comment.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools automatically log:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version (user agent)
- Operating system and device type
- Pages you visit, time spent, and referring page
- Approximate geographic location (derived from IP address, typically at city or country level)
- Date and time of access
This is standard for almost every website on the internet and is used to keep the Site running, prevent abuse, and understand which content is useful.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies (small text files stored in your browser) for three purposes:
- Essential cookies: required for the Site to function. These remember basic settings like cookie consent and do not track you across other sites.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to count visitors and understand which pages are popular. These are anonymized where possible.
- Advertising cookies: set by Google AdSense to show relevant ads and limit how often you see the same ad. These cookies may track activity across other websites that use the Google ad network.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Site. Disabling analytics and advertising cookies does not affect functionality.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
Toolifye uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, linked below.
Google AdSense
We display ads on the Site through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and other technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for EU users, the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. See Google’s ad privacy policy for more detail.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how readers use the Site (which pages are visited, how long, on what devices). Google Analytics may collect your IP address, but we have enabled IP anonymization where supported. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the Site appears in Google Search results. Search Console reports do not contain user-identifying information; it shows aggregate search queries and click-through data.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- Respond to messages, comments, and support requests
- Measure which articles and tools are useful so we can improve them
- Display relevant advertising
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers who help us run the Site (hosting, analytics, advertising, CDN, security). They are contractually bound to use your information only for the services they provide to us.
- Legal compliance when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer in the event Toolifye is acquired or merged with another organization. We will notify users before any such transfer affects their data.
6. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed:
- Contact form messages: retained for up to 24 months from the date received, then deleted.
- Comments: kept indefinitely so the discussion remains on the relevant article. You may request deletion at any time.
- Server access logs: typically rotated within 30 days by our hosting provider.
- Google Analytics data: retained per Google’s default settings, currently 14 months.
7. Your Rights
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or Switzerland (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information (“right to be forgotten”).
- Object to or restrict how we process your information.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purpose, and any third parties we share it with.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell information; we do allow advertising cookies that may qualify as “sharing” under California law, and you can opt out through the cookie and ad controls described above.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any right, please submit a request through our contact page. We will respond within the timelines required by law (typically 30 days for GDPR, 45 days for CCPA).
8. Children’s Privacy
Toolifye is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Toolifye operates online and is accessible globally. The third-party services we use (Google services, hosting, CDN) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
10. Security
We use standard technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including HTTPS encryption across the Site, hardened server configurations, and limiting access to personal information to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.
11. Links to Other Sites
Articles on Toolifye link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For significant changes, we will post a notice on the Site or, where appropriate, contact you directly. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. How to Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of the rights described above, please reach us through our contact page. We will get back to you as soon as we can, typically within a few days.
